About Curry College

Curry College is a private liberal arts institution. It was first established in 1879 as the School of Elocution and Expression.

All undergraduate students do a General Education Program. Beyond this, the college offers four year undergraduate courses with 24 majors including accounting, biochemistry, business management, education, English and writing, information technology, nursing, philosophy, psychology, studio arts, mobile application development, integrated liberal studies and other subjects. In addition, the Curry offers 60 minors, as well as four graduate programmes in business administration, criminal justice, nursing and education.

The 131 acre campus is based in Milton, Massachusetts, a town of 27,000 in Greater Boston. There are opportunities to do rugby, step and dance, cheerleading, tennis, cross country, football, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball and weight training, ice hockey and horse riding. The college prides its community feeling fostered through weekly activities ranging from karaoke, comedy and BINGO shows to  tie-dye shirts or spin-art frisbees. You can also get involved in student media and arts. There is a theatre, choir, a campus radio, campus television, student newspaper, an arts journal and Amethyst yearbook.

You will be only seven miles away from central Boston, so you can easily benefit from the city’s student population of 250,000, bookshops, cafes, cultural and sports events and night life. But in addition to urban fun, students will also find beautiful nature near Milton - the Blue Hills Nature Reservation with hiking and skiing trails and equestrianism.

Famous alumni include radio personalities Mara Davis and Jordan Rich, autopilot Buddy Lazier, lawyer, businessman and ex-policeman Jaff Perry.
