The Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry invites applications for the position of University lecturer in Systems modelling and simulation, from 1.5.2026 onwards or as agreed. The permanent position will be located at the Department of Agricultural Sciences. The university lecturer strengthens the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry’s research and teaching in systems modelling and simulation within the field of sustainable use of renewable natural resources. The appointee must have demonstrated strong expertise in research, teaching, and supervision of theses in the relevant field. To perform successfully in the position the appointee should have research and/or teaching experience in at least two of the following disciplines: automation and control engineering energy systems engineering industrial and production systems engineering automation and digitalization in industry industrial physics Knowledge of process modelling and design, simulation software, scenario-based modelling and testing, as well as systems thinking, will be considered an advantage. Additionally, experience from collaboration with companies in the forestry, agriculture, food, or energy sectors will be considered beneficial. The university lecturer must have the readiness to acquire research funding. The appointee must have an interest to work in a multilingual and multicultural working environment and in crossdisciplinary groups and to work together with private, public and third sector stakeholder groups. The primary responsibility of the university lecturer is the master's level teaching in their field of study, which is offered in Master's Programme in Technologies for Sustainable Use of Renewable Resources (SustTech) https://www.helsinki.fi/en/degree-programmes/technologies-sustainable-use-renewable-resources-masters-programme. The university lecturer will act as the responsible teacher in the following courses: Modelling methods System control and optimisation Simulation of production systems The university lecturer can also have teaching responsibilities or participate in teaching in the following courses: SustTech Master’s Seminar Hands-on Projects for Sustainable Technological Solutions Finnish renewable resources and sustainability: Theory and Practice Data Science Methodology Course The appointee must have the necessary pedagogical skills for teaching and motivation for renewing and developing research and teaching. The responsibilities of the university lecturer also include participating in collaboration with other educational institutions in their field, student marketing for the bachelor's and master’s programmes, as well as engaging in societal interaction. Requirements: According to the Regulations of University of Helsinki, the appointee to the position shall hold an applicable doctoral degree and be able to provide high-quality teaching based on research and to supervise theses and dissertations. The degree requirement (doctoral degree) must be met by the end of the application period. When assessing the qualifications of the applicants, attention shall be paid to scientific publications and other research merits of scientific value and their proven ability to receive external research funding. In addition, teaching experience and pedagogical training, the ability to produce learning materials, other teaching merits and, if necessary, a teaching demonstration.  The teaching and supervisory tasks of the university lecturer are in a multilingual study programme. The work includes administrative tasks and collaboration with Finnish language stakeholders. You must have such Finnish language skills that you can communicate in an understandable manner. Description The newly established NYUAD Wireless Research Center at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate (PDA) to engage in cutting-edge research on channel modeling and characterization for communication and sensing in emerging spectrum for 6G and beyond, with a focus on the FR3, THz and optical frequency bands. This research will be conducted under the joint supervision of Marwa Chafii, and Murat Uysal. Principal Responsibilities The PDA will conduct extensive channel measurement campaigns to provide a comprehensive characterization of the ISAC channel models characterizing the interaction between sensing and communication. The PDA is also expected to contribute to optical channel modeling, particularly for comparative analysis with THz bands, where RF signals exhibit quasi-optical properties. The PDA is expected to actively disseminate results through publications in high-impact journals and presentations at leading international conferences. The PDA is expected to contribute to the intellectual property development through patent filings, as well as participating in standardization efforts relevant to wireless technologies, in coordination with academic and industrial collaborators. Qualifications Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field. Other requirements include Expertise in several areas among the following is desired: radio system modeling, electromagnetics, antennas, propagation, RF frontends, radar. Demonstrated expertise in channel modeling and characterization Hands-on experience with RF and/or optical measurement setups, including the design and execution of channel sounding or propagation measurement campaigns Experience with RF/optical ray tracing simulation software, e.g., Wireless Insite, Zemax Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences The candidates will be considered until the position is filled. The SIT x NVIDIA AI Centre (SNAIC) is seeking a business-driven professional to lead industry partnerships and growth initiatives that expand the Centre’s commercial and strategic footprint. The role is responsible for identifying high-value collaboration opportunities, shaping business models for applied AI projects, and securing funding or co-development commitments that contribute to SNAIC’s long-term sustainability. Working at the intersection of technology and business, this role acts as SNAIC’s front-facing dealmaker, translating market demand, ecosystem signals, and AI innovation into viable partnerships across areas such as Generative AI, Large Language Models, Computer Vision, Digital Twins, and Multimodal AI. Key Responsibilities  1. Industry Engagement & Business Development Identify, qualify, and engage potential industry, government, and ecosystem partners for applied AI collaboration opportunities. Drive the deal process from initial discussion through to agreement. Manage active partnership accounts and track delivery milestones to ensure commitments, timelines, and outputs are met. 2. Marketing, Outreach & Positioning Contribute to industry events, workshops, showcases, and demos that strengthen SNAIC’s visibility and lead generation. Support development of partnership assets such as case studies, pitch decks, project proposals, and success stories. Work with internal teams to amplify SNAIC’s applied AI capabilities to targeted sectors and communities. 3. Data, Reporting & Pipeline Management Maintain an up-to-date CRM pipeline of leads, partners, proposals, and project statuses. Generate periodic dashboards and management reports on engagement performance, deal progress, and partnership outcomes. Ensure data accuracy and traceability across all stages of the partnership lifecycle. Job Requirement  Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data/AI, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, innovation projects, or roles involving both technical and commercial stakeholders. Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ideally in a cross-functional environment. Working understanding of AI concepts, use cases, and industry trends, with interest in areas such as Generative AI, LLMs, Computer Vision, or Digital Twins. Exposure to NVIDIA’s AI ecosystem (e.g., Omniverse, CUDA, DGX, NGC) is a plus, but not required. Strong communication and relationship management skills, able to engage industry partners and internal stakeholders confidently. Good writing and presentation abilities for proposals, pitch decks, and briefing materials. Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple partnership pipelines, timelines, and reporting needs. Comfortable using CRM tools, dashboards, or project tracking systems. Key Competencies Understanding of AI and emerging technologies. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to liaise confidently with both engineers and executives. Strong proposal writing, pitch deck creation, and presentation skills; able to tailor messaging for both technical and executive audiences.
