Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements A Master’s degree in Radiography or related field. Possessing a PhD will be an added advantage. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in the acute / community / other clinical rehabilitation setting. Possess clinical experience and competence in Radiography. Having expertise in general radiography or other area of specialization (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Angiography and Fluoroscopy) is preferred. Knowledge and experience in working with simulated healthcare institution and community environment and educational manikins will be advantageous. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.  Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.

About the role: The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the full range of management accounting work within the university. Working closely with other members of the management accounting community, the role provides useful information to faculty/directorate managers to improve their decision-making, planning and control. We are seeking a curious, enthusiastic, and approachable management accounting assistant with excellent oral and written communication skills to join our Finance Business Partnering (Operations) team at King’s. You will be working in a diverse, fast-paced and dynamic environment, using a range of skills to deliver quality financial support to discerning and demanding customers. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an understanding of accounting concepts and promote the understanding of financial knowledge within directorates in their communication with non-financial stakeholders. You should have experience of working with a financial accounting system and in exporting data to produce meaningful reports to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders. Working closely with Finance Business Partners, you will respond in a timely manner to meet our budget holder needs. This will include answering queries, performing reconciliations, staff approvals, updating the staff forecast tool, processing journals, budget and forecast movements, assisting with general month end tasks, creation of new activity codes, assisting with coding changes and restructures and the provision of management accounting information. ​​​The role holder will be based at Lavington Street in Central London and is currently expected to work 2 days per week on-site with the remainder of time working remotely. About you:  To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria Highly numerate, as evidenced by qualifications in Mathematics at GCSE and A level, or equivalent; or AAT Level 3 or equivalent.
