Brainware University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across its wide range of schools from law to food and nutrition, cyber science and technology to nursing, and pharmaceutical technology to media science and journalism.

Students at Brainware are supported and encouraged through their placement applications, and the university has a very high placement record year after year. The Campus-to-Corporate [C2C] team works with over 500 recruiters, and has developed a training module to prepare students for their placement applications. Brainware’s students have worked for Amazon, Adobe, IBM, and Nestle.

The university organises workshops, activities and clubs for students from photography club to sports. The Language Laboratory on campus is there for students to master their English language, and the Moot Court enables law students to gain courtroom experience. The campus has indoor game facilities including table tennis and chess, a yoga room, as well as entrepreneurship incubation support to develop, fund and encourage business ideas.

Brainware University’s sports arena features a football ground, badminton court, and cricket area. Also on campus is a gymnasium, male and female common rooms, dormitories, food courts, and an auditorium.

Description The Sreenivasan Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Assistant to conduct studies examining working memory in human subjects. Applicants with a background in programming and interest in working memory are encouraged to apply. Terms of employment include competitive salary and benefits. Research in the Sreenivasan Lab (http://nyuad.nyu.edu/sreenivasan-lab) focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms that constrain working memory ability. Our projects involve collaborations with Psychology and Biology faculty at NYUAD as well as Psychology faculty at NYU New York. The neuroimaging facilities at NYUAD include a 3T Prisma MRI, MEG, EEG, and eye tracking. Responsibilities of the position include collecting behavioral and neurophysiological data, programming experiments and analysis routines, as well as managing the day-to-day functioning of the lab. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, though a master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MATLAB or an equivalent programming language, strong computational skills, and a background in experimental psychology or neuroscience. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and interest in addressing questions about working memory using neuroimaging. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. This position ensures smooth collaboration between QU Health and its clinical affiliates by handling faculty appointments, licensing, and QU Health Graduates’ recruitment. Moreover, the Clinical Appointment Specialist acts as a primary point of contact with external stakeholders, contributing to the effectiveness and success of clinical education programs. Create and maintain a comprehensive database of clinical affiliates' research profiles and Scopus IDs for each affiliate.  Manage Clinical Teaching/Research Awards: Announce and promote clinical teaching/research awards, providing guidance and support to clinical affiliates throughout the application process.  Review applications and prepare documentation for review by the Awards Committee. Coordinate Clinical Appointment Events: Plan and execute clinical appointment events, managing logistics, invitations, and communication with VIPs.  Oversee all aspects of event preparation to ensure a successful and engaging experience for attendees. Ensure Data Accuracy and Consistency: Manage the archiving and maintain an up-to-date database for all clinical appointments, ensuring accurate and accessible records. Communicate regularly with HR after each recruitment cycle to ensure that the records of clinical affiliates are accurate and consistent across all departments and systems. Tracking license expiration dates and initiating renewal processes in advance.  Facilitating the transfer of licenses for faculty members joining QU from other institutions or countries. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and deadlines. Maintain Licensing Database: Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of all licensed QU (contact information, license type and status, expiration dates and renewal history), any other relevant information related to faculty licensure. Monitor Compliance with DHP Regulations: Monitor QU Health faculty members' clinical practice to ensure compliance with DHP regulations and maintain their clinical licensure. This may involve: Staying up to date on DHP regulations and any changes that may occur.  Providing guidance and support to faculty on licensing requirements and best practices. Conducting periodic audits of faculty clinical practice to ensure compliance. Focal Point with External Stakeholders: Assists in coordinating, supervising, and completing special projects as appropriate. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs. Job Requirements A good degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous. Track record in project leadership and impactful industry experience in Chemical Process Technology. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in unit operations (e.g. Heat Exchanger, Distillation Column, Reactors, Cooling Tower etc). Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Engineering standards including but not limited to ISO9001, OSHA and BSI etc. Practiced in Chemical Process Design software (for e.g. HYSYS) Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and related methods, with a focus on biopharmaceutical analysis would be an advantage. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.
