Bilkent University was established in Ankara in 1984, as Turkey's first private university. The Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration has a reputation for excellence in business research and is often ranked highly among Turkey’s business schools.

It offers a wide range of programmes to suit undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as executives at various stages of their careers. There are 758 students studying full-time undergraduate degrees, 96 studying part-time for masters degrees and 23 studying for doctoral degrees. Other offerings include an MS in finance, marketing, or decision science and operations management; a PhD in finance, marketing, or decision science and operations management; an Executive MBA, and a programme in Executive Education. The Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration specialises in management, CIS/MIS (computers information systems/management information systems), marketing, accounting and taxation.

There are plenty of opportunities for students to study abroad in the autumn or spring of their third year, and observe management and business in an international setting. The faculty has 50 partner universities in 22 countries.

In 2011, statistics showed that 23 per cent of alumni students were in finance and auditing, 19 per cent in production, 12 per cent in the services sector and 16 per cent in other areas. While 30 per cent are pursuing further graduate studies.

Bilkent University’s 500-hectare campus is only 12 kilometres from the centre of Ankara, granting easy access to the city’s parks, shopping areas, cultural activities, museums, and entertainment venues. Bilkent’s location in the historically rich Anatolian heartland allows easy access to other cities, traditional villages, stunning landscapes, historic sites, and places of great cultural interest throughout the country.

Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs. Job Requirements A good degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related fields. Possessing a Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering environment. Have deep, hands-on competence in the following areas: High voltage switching Engineering design, modelling & analysis of conventional power, wind & solar farms Engineering design of transmission & distribution substations, electrical distribution systems of industries and commercial buildings Power system protection application and relay coordination Digital/Analogue/Power electronics IoT/Micro-controller application It will be advantageous with working knowledge of/as: Knowledge in programming/using Python, MATLAB, LTspice, IoT platform. Authorised high voltage switching Engineer Extensive hands-on experience and knowledge of industry practices and engineering principles to bring industry perspective to SIT Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.

Your workplace: As a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology, you will mainly teach methodologies and methods in qualitative social research (e.g., introduction to qualitative social research, interpretative methods, data collection, data analysis) as well as sociological theories (e.g., basic concepts of sociology, guided reading, selected sociological theories). If required, you will also teach courses in other areas of the Bachelor's or Master's degree programme (e.g., sociological research training, Bachelor's seminar). The employment level of 23 hours/week includes an average teaching commitment of 16 semester hours per week of academic teaching per academic year. Research Fellow in Cancer Immunotherapy

Interview Date: in the week commencing 26 January 2026 Project summary An exciting opportunity is available to join the laboratories of Dr Salah Mansour and Dr Ali Roghanian at the University of Southampton. We are seeking a collaborative and motivated postdoctoral scientist to work on our Blood Cancer UK-funded programme developing next-generation, off-the-shelf immunotherapies for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). This three-year project will harness cytotoxic invariant Natural Killer T (iNKT) cells for precision targeting of AML, an aggressive leukaemia with poor survival outcomes. Building on strong preliminary data, it combines mechanistic and translational immunology with bespoke in vivo models to define and exploit therapeutically relevant subsets. The Research Fellow will lead studies on cytotoxic T cell mechanisms, oversee preclinical validation, and advance CAR-iNKT platforms optimised for AML immunotherapy. The role bridges basic and translational research and suits a creative scientist with interests in tumour immunology, T cell engineering, and immunotherapy. You will join a multidisciplinary team spanning immunology, and bioinformatics, with access to advanced flow cytometry, 10X Genomics, in vivo imaging platforms. Key responsibilities To work within the Mansour and Roghanian labs, and with collaborators at Southampton and beyond. To design, conduct, and analyse in vitro and in vivo immunology experiments. To lead the optimisation and functional assessment of human T cells and CAR T cells. To liaise and coordinate between project collaborators and core facilities. To record analyses accurately and present results at group meetings, national, and international conferences. To contribute to dissemination of findings through publications and grant applications. To supervise and support junior researchers and students. Any other duties appropriate to the scope and grade of the post. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to lead their own projects, collaborate on others, and guide PhD and Master’s students. Essential qualifications, experience and competencies PhD (or near completion) in human T cell immunology, cancer biology, or a related discipline. Strong practical experience with core immunological assays (e.g. FACS, ELISA, T cell assays). Proven competence in the design and execution of experiments using mouse models of cancer. Ability to manage projects to timelines, supervise junior staff, and work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and presentation skills, including at conferences. Desirable Experience with single-cell or bulk sequencing (e.g. 10X Genomics, RNA-seq). Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines and large dataset interpretation.
