Founded in 1950, Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU) is based in the capital city of China, Beijing. BTBU was founded based on the merging of Beijing Light Industry School, Beijing Business School and the Administration School for the Ministry of Machinery Industry. The university is spread across two campuses; Fucheng Road Campus (downtown campus) and Liangxiang Campus with easy and convenient transportation in Beijing City. At BTBU, students can gain both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees within a wide variety of faculties, including: science, food and chemical engineering, materials science and mechanical engineering, computer and information engineering, economics, law, foreign languages, art and communication, Marxism, physical education and business. On campus, students will find a library, on campus housing and sports facilities. The university also has partnerships with other universities worldwide offering students the chance to spend a year studying abroad. These partnerships have also paved the way for faculty exchange and advanced research opportunities. BTBU has links with 81 top universities in countries and regions such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, the United Kingdom and the US BTBU and Hertford College, Oxford University have had a long-term relationship since 2006. A short-term programme has been designed for BTBU students and teachers to spend several weeks of intensive study on Oxford campus and city tours. Courses and seminars are provided on different areas of education including teaching skills, business language and culture. While back in Beijing, BTBU offers international students a series of classes and activities, specifically focusing on Chinese traditional culture. Courses include Chinese ink painting, Chinese medicine and acupuncture and dumpling-making class.

The Department of Administrative Science and Administrative Law is a unit of the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University which carries out educational and scientific research activities in both of the aforementioned fields, namely administrative law and, traditionally, administrative science. In terms of teaching, it primarily delivers compulsory modules covering the full scope of administrative law – that is, its general and specific parts – particularly within the Master’s programme in Law and Legal Science, the follow-up Master’s programme in Public Administration, and also within the Bachelor’s programmes, as well as a range of compulsory elective subjects focusing on specific areas or topics falling within the scope of administrative law in both the national and European contexts, and also in the field of administrative science. About the area The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) is a joint venture between Curtin University and The University of Western Australia (UWA), established in 2009 and funded through 2030 with $65 million from the WA State Government. ICRAR is a leading institution in radio astronomy and a key Australian contributor to the global SKA project. The Astrophotonics Group within ICRAR develops advanced photonic systems for radio and optical astronomy, with a focus on long-distance transfer of stabilised frequency and timing signals via optical fibre and free-space laser links. About the opportunity Lead a small research team in the area of free-space optical communication, specifically optimised for operations within maritime environments. Coordinating this work with project partner organisations including industry, government, and defence. Conduct technical work across a combination of optomechanics, communications engineering, software development, and atmospheric physics. About you Tertiary qualification in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a related field. Experience in one or more of the following: free-space optical engineering; optical communications systems and photonic technologies; mechanical engineering and fabrication; software, programming, simulation, and algorithm development (Python or MATLAB); and optical propagation through the atmosphere, particularly in maritime environments Experience with high-quality supervision of junior staff and HDR students. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Privacy, this role supports the responsible and compliant adoption of AI across the organisation.
