Position Summary UCBD invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in IT and Computing. The successful candidate will teach relevant IT and Computing courses along with leading the IT and Computing streams offered under different partner universities. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the learning ecosystem of the IT and Computing programs. Deliver lectures, workshops, tutorials, and assessments. Support curriculum alignment with different partner universities’ academic frameworks. Engage in research, consultancy, and professional practice. Develop and consolidate contacts with industry/employers and other external organisations. Collaborate with industry partners and UCBD’s academic teams. Qualifications and Experience Essential: PhD in IT, Computing, or related field. Master’s and or Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. At least 5-7 years of teaching experience (post PhD or combined) in relevant fields. Demonstrated professional expertise and teaching experience in the discipline and/or subject areas being taught at university level. Understanding of the principles of effective assessment design, using formative assessment to improve student performance, and familiarity with international summative assessment standards. Capacity to establish a rapport with students, and the effective communication and interpersonal skills need to engage with students, parents, colleagues and other stakeholders. Familiarity with academic administration through serving on academic committees, working as a programme or subject leader, etc. Desirable Evidence of publications including academic and industry publications and conference presentations. A positive personal work ethic, solid organizational and time management skills, the capacity to tackle multiple responsibilities, prioritize important tasks, and deliver on time. Compensation and Benefits Package Salary Range: USD 3,000–3,500 (net). Negotiable for exceptionally qualified candidates. The primary role involves developing and validating CFD models to study wave attenuation by mangroves, seagrass, and coral. Responsibilities include calibrating simulations with experimental data, analyzing shear coefficients and drag forces, and contributing to interdisciplinary research on coastal protection, with an emphasis on delivering accurate and impactful modeling insights. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Undertake these responsibilities in the project: 1. Wave Stochastic Analysis and Hydrodynamics Conduct advanced stochastic analysis of wave environments to evaluate the performance of floating structures. Analyze hydrodynamic behavior of floating breakwaters under varied sea conditions. 2. CFD and Finite Element Modeling Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to optimize the design and performance of floating breakwaters. Develop finite element models for stability assessment, structural integrity, and dynamic response of floating systems. 3. However, developing efficient positive electrode materials is a key factor in advancing this technology and promoting its use in practical applications. NaSICON (Natrium Super Ionic CONductor) materials have a 3D structure allowing the fast diffusion of sodium during the electrochemical reaction of charge/ discharge as well as good structural and thermal stabilities. This project targets the synthesis, characterization, and electrochemical evaluation of P-based NaSICON-type materials as positive electrodes for sodium-ion batteries. We are looking for an assiduous, ambitious, and engaged Postdoctoral Researcher with a strong background in chemistry of materials, materials science, electrochemistry, materials synthesis and battery research. Key responsibilities: Synthesis of different P-based materials via the sol-gel and solvothermal methods with control over morphology, particle size, and composition. Material characterization using XRD, SEM, EDS, ICP, BET, TGA, FTIR, RAMAN spectroscopy, etc. Electrode preparation, battery assembly, and evaluation of the electrochemical properties versus metallic sodium using different testing techniques (GCPL, CV, GITT, EIS, etc.). Establishing relationships between the physical and chemical properties of P-based cathodes and their electrochemical performance in sodium-ion half-cell and full cell configurations. Performing advanced characterization using in-situ XRD, XPS, 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy and NMR to investigate material behavior and interfacial chemistry during synthesis and battery operation.
