The Autonomous University of Asunción was originally established in 1978 as the Superior School of Business Administration. It was granted full university status in 1991 and became the Autonomous University of Asunción.

As its name suggests, the university is located in Asunción, the capital and largest city of Paraguay. Standing on the eastern bank of the Paraguay River, Asunción is one of the oldest cities in South America.

Academically, the university is organised into five faculties: Faculty of Law, Political and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Economic Sciences and Administration, Faculty of Humanistic Sciences and Communication, and the Faculty of Health Sciences. Within each faculty are different departments, offering a wide range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.

Outside the classroom, the university organises extracurricular activities, cultural events, and sports programmes.

Description The Sustainable and Innovative Transport Demand (SIT-D) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a postdoctoral associate to conduct studies on the use of Immersive Virtual Reality to elicit users’ preferences for innovative transport systems. Applicants with a background in behavioral analysis and mathematical modelling are encouraged to apply. Terms of employment include competitive salary and benefits. Research in the SIT-D lab focuses on understanding and modelling consumers' behavior and decision process for sustainable transport modes and transport innovations. Research is interdisciplinary involving behavioral economics, psychology, neuroscience, computer science applied to the transport domain. Responsibilities of the position include building experiments to understand user’s decision process for innovation, collecting neurophysiological and other relevant data, programming and analysis routines, as well as quantitatively analyzing the data collected. Candidates must hold a PhD degree or equivalent in a field related to behavioral analysis and mathematical modelling and demonstrated experience with neurophysiological measurements, as well as data collections and field experiments. Description The Center for Behavioral Institutional Design, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit several postdoctoral researchers interested in exploring the origins of human behavioral diversity, developing empirically-informed models of human behavior, and designing innovative institutions and policies for promoting social welfare. C-BID offers a vibrant and stimulating research environment, with opportunities to engage in high-impact projects and collaborations. Postdoctoral researchers join an active international community of scholars and fellow postdocs and benefit from a world-class seminar series. The Center also hosts numerous workshops, conferences, and other academic events that foster collaboration, idea exchange, and visibility, providing an exceptional platform for advancing researchers’ work and academic careers. The ideal candidate is highly ambitious, well-trained, self-motivated, hard-working, equally capable of working alone and as part of a team, and holds a PhD in economics or a related field. The position requires expertise in either experimental, empirical, or theoretical methods or, ideally, a combination of these methods. Excellent communication skills in English, the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential. Successful applicants are expected to publish research in leading peer-reviewed journals in social science or leading interdisciplinary journals, and work both individually and in close collaboration with the C-BID team: Olivier Bochet, Nikos Nikiforakis, and John Wooders. The position provides a salary higher than internationally competitive rates for postdoctoral research positions, in addition to substantial benefits (generous housing, transportation and travel allowances, educational subsidies for children), together with full health insurance and retirement contributions. The Molecular Drug Targeting (MDT) Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, ideally complemented by experience in medicinal chemistry or chemical biology. The position focuses on functional conjugation chemistry, including protein conjugation, lipid coupling, and the development of tailored molecular probes. You will work extensively with analytical techniques such as NMR and MS and contribute to our fragment-based drug design efforts, integrating structural, thermodynamic, and biophysical insights directly into your synthetic strategy. The lab offers equipment for parallel synthesis, and you will also engage with chemical and biological databases as part of compound design and evaluation. A willingness to learn NMR spectroscopy and basic biophysical methods is expected to characterize protein ligand complexes, as these techniques are central to our integrated discovery pipeline. Experience with LYTACs or targeted degradation approaches is considered an advantage. The successful candidate will work with a high degree of personal responsibility, contribute to a safe and well-organized laboratory environment, and help guide and supervise students.
