AU’s faculty members are diverse and highly skilled, with considerable levels of competence in a wide range of subject areas. They are committed to developing industry-ready graduates equipped to meet evolving global and regional demands.

Research at AU is a strategic priority, the University invests more than USD 1 million annually in research, supporting both innovation and applied outcomes. The Scientific Research Center (SRC) plays a central role in coordinating and advancing research initiatives at AU. It provides internal research funding and actively supports faculty in securing external funding from organizations such as the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR).

The University has 41+ state-of-the-art research and specialized laboratories and engages in major international collaborations with institutions such as CQUniversity (Australia) and California State Polytechnic University (USA). Research at AU is aligned with the UN SDGs, with strong contributions in sustainability-focused research and publications.

AU also maintains an IIP-accredited Human Resources (HR) department, reflecting its commitment to staff development and continuous improvement.
