The Australian University (AU), established in 2004 (formerly the Australian College of Kuwait), is the first and leading private university in Kuwait known for delivering internationally accredited programs and producing industry-ready graduate.
With 16,000+ graduates and 30+ majors across Engineering, Aviation, Business, and Maritime, AU is recognized for its academic excellence and real-world impact. It is also home to the largest Aviation School in Kuwait.
AU’s academic programs are accredited and recognized by leading international and regulatory bodies, ensuring alignment with global academic and professional standards. The College of Engineering is accredited by Engineers Australia, The English Language Program is accredited by EAQUALS, reflecting full compliance with international quality benchmarks. In the field of business, AU’s programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), in addition to the Recognition of High Quality in Assurance of Learning by AACSB. AU’s aviation programs are approved by international aviation authorities including EASA, ICAO, and locally by DGCA; while Maritime Program by is accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). At the institutional level, AU is licensed and accredited by the Private Universities Council (PUC).
