Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma has three campuses: Semanggi, Pluit, and BSD. All are located in the South of Jakarta.

Courses are available across faculties of economics and business, business administration and communication, education and languages, engineering, law, medicine and health sciences, psychology and biotechnology.

The university has several international partnerships, allowing students the opportunity to take part in study abroad schemes. There are also a range of scholarships for prospective and current students through the university’s scholarship providers, mainly Indonesian local businesses such as Bank Indonesia.

Students at Atma Jaya can take part in over 20 clubs across sports, music, nature, science, and social affairs. There are also opportunities to join the Student Representative Council, Student Executive Body, and Student Associations team.

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  The Future Ship and System Design (FSSD) programme aims to develop strategic and innovative design capabilities for the maritime industry in Singapore and globally. Within this programme, Work Package WP2.2 focuses on research in several key areas: design Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), functional FMECA, advanced sensing techniques, sensor and operational data fusion, data analytics, and machine learning algorithms for condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, and early fault prediction in electric vessels. The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to research in design FMECA, functional FMECA, and ship sensing, as part of the WP2.2 research team within the FSSD programme. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI, and research team members to manage and execute the project, ensuring that all deliverables are successfully achieved.  Key responsibilities in this project include: Developing an FMECA analysis solution that integrates condition monitoring data to update actual failure modes, effects, and severity assessments. Designing and conducting experiments to simulate various ship fault conditions, implementing sensing for data collection, and developing an equipment health monitoring system. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. The Research staff is to liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Any other adhoc duties as assigned by Supervisor. Job Requirements Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Have relevant knowledge in the areas of shipboard system design, FMECA and reliability analysis. Have a degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of sensing, FMECA, equipment health management and programming will be advantageous. Knowledge of intelligent decision agents based on graph neural network or similar will an advantage. Key Competencies Good knowledge in reliability analysis. Experience in FMECA and equipment health management will be advantageous. Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Show strong initiative and take ownership of work. Major Challenges Integrating Multidisciplinary Knowledge The role requires expertise across multiple domains—FMECA, sensing technologies, data fusion, data analytics, and machine learning. Combining these diverse skill sets to develop a unified and reliable solution can be technically demanding. Description The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit a post-doctoral associate, starting Fall 2026 to work under the supervision of Prof. Pierre Youssef on subjects including (in no particular order): Random Matrix Theory Free Probability Functional and concentration inequalities Mixing times of Markov chains While excellent candidates with other research interest may be considered, a priority will be given to those able to relate to one or several of the above topics. The probability group at New York University Abu Dhabi is rapidly growing with a weekly seminar in place. The research interests of the other faculty as well as the organized activities can be found on the Abu Dhabi Stochastics Group page. The Post-doctoral fellow will be appointed for a duration of two years. Applications are open immediately and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. About us The Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES) is a vibrant faculty based in the heart of London with a long tradition of world-leading research and teaching in physics, mathematics, chemistry, informatics and engineering. ​This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a technical team supporting research within the Department of Chemistry, reporting to the Technical Manager (Operations) at Britannia House, Guy’s campus.  About the role The role-holder will have responsibility for the day-to-day running and maintenance of the chemistry research laboratories and auxiliary facilities. They will work as part of a team of technicians, working collaboratively with academic and professional services stakeholders to provide technical support to research groups in the department.  The ideal candidate will have a background in the chemical sciences with experience in a higher education (HE) research environment. They will have knowledge and experience of laboratory health and safety regulations, general technical support, training and supervision across a range of lab-based research activities. The project: Miscanthus Energy for a Resilient and Inclusive Transition (MERIT) aim is to increase Miscanthus biomass production in Ukraine. Ukraine has over 2 million hectares of arable land left unused due to war-related contamination. MERIT aims to use Miscanthus to: Produce renewable biomass for decentralised heating, biogas, and energy generation and restore damaged and abandoned land through phytoremediation. You will work on the Biofuel Crop Miscanthus, leading studies to emulate specific soil toxicity states and identifying variety specific resistance to toxins, and compartmentalisation of toxins in plant structures. Key tasks will include: (i); establishing and monitoring trials on campus and establishing field sites with local partners (ii); quantifying contents of soil and plant toxicity (iii); measuring plant morphological and physiological responses (iv); collating comprehensive data sets from project partners and undertaking appropriate Genotype x Environment x Treatment analysis (v); writing academic publications. A small part of the project will investigate cold tolerance in specific varieties. You may also be able to assist across the broader projects within the group.A proven ability to undertake and lead plant biology field research activities is essential, and to publish in international peer-reviewed journals is desirable. You will also have an enthusiastic and co-operative attitude, well-suited to working as part of a team, supervising and advising more junior members of the team on occasion, and contributing to essential field / laboratory / project management tasks. There is the opportunity for you to apply your own research interests within this project to broaden the scope of the study beyond the project deliverables. About us The Department of Informatics is looking to appoint a Reader in Computer Vision Education. As we continue to grow and strengthen our department, we are seeking to appoint a Reader in the area of computer vision education. We welcome applications from candidates who have an international profile in research in any of the following areas: image classification and object detection, semantic segmentation, video analysis and action recognition, scene understanding, medical image analysis, self-supervised and unsupervised learning for vision, vision-based robotics and autonomous systems, and generative models for image synthesis and enhancement. We would also be interested in applicants who are working in emerging areas in the field, including vision transformers, explainable AI for vision, and privacy-preserving computer vision.
