Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role As a Postdoctoral Fellow in Social Innovation at Te Kotahi Research Institute, you will lead and contribute to research that strengthens the well-being of iwi, Māori, and Indigenous communities. This role involves conducting high-quality research on social impact across health, social services, and community development, while integrating mātauranga Māori into policy and innovation. You will collaborate with iwi/Māori organisations, facilitate co-design workshops, and share knowledge through publications, conferences, and teaching opportunities. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help shape solutions that make a real difference for communities in Aotearoa. Salary will be in the range of $90,125 to $95,500.00 per year (pro-rata) based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. Description The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit a post-doctoral associate, starting Fall 2026 to work under the supervision of Prof. Pierre Youssef on subjects including (in no particular order): Random Matrix Theory Free Probability Functional and concentration inequalities Mixing times of Markov chains While excellent candidates with other research interest may be considered, a priority will be given to those able to relate to one or several of the above topics. The probability group at New York University Abu Dhabi is rapidly growing with a weekly seminar in place.
