Responsibilities: Work with the Principal Investigator on the research projects related to just transitions; Conduct independent research and produce high-quality publications; Supervise research students; Prepare grant applications; and Take up some teaching duties when necessary. Job Description LANGUAGE CENTRE  Teaching Assistant (English Section) (25260123) The appointee is expected to assist the English Section in: (i) developing supplementary teaching and learning materials; (ii) providing support to new and existing English language enhancement activities; (iii) assisting lecturers in teaching; and (iv) performing other duties as assigned by the Head of the English Section and the Head of the Language Centre. Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics/Linguistics, English, TESOL or Language Studies and a master’s degree in a related discipline with native/native-like proficiency in English. Experience in designing English language learning materials, organising language enhancement activities and analysing activity or course results and outcomes are required. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing September 2025. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding. Job Description FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES OFFICE OF THE DEAN OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES Project Assistant (23241242) The Faculty is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Assistant to provide support in research administrative activities. Reporting to the Faculty Research Senior Manager, the qualified candidate will contribute to the delivery of faculty-led initiatives and ensure the smooth flow of projects, data accuracy, and timely deliverables. Responsibilities: Research Administration Support Assist with research data collection, processing, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance; Provide guidance to departments on research-related administrative matters; and Prepare reports, funding application, and analyses as required. Postgraduate Research Support Support administrative processes for Research Postgraduate (RPg) programmes, including student enquires, document preparation, and data management; and Collaborate with academic units to ensure alignment with institutional guidelines and deadlines.  Research Events and Outreach Coordination Assist in planning and organising faculty research events, workshops, and conferences; Liaise with and maintain clear communication with internal and external research reviewers, guest speakers, and collaborators; Monitor ongoing projects to ensure timely completion and deliverables; and Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: A recognised bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience; Professional fluency in both Chinese and English; Excellent organisational and project management skills; Experience in data collection, handling, management, and visualisation for the purpose of drafting/finalising funding proposals/research is preferred; Self-driven, proactive, good communication and interpersonal skills; and Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
