Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike was originally established in 2011 as Federal University Ndufu-Alike. It was founded by the Federal Government with the aim of expanding and improving access to education in all areas of Nigeria. In 2018 it was renamed Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike in honour of Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme, the late Vice President of Nigeria. The university is located in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, southeastern Nigeria. There are 11 faculties at the university: agriculture, basic medical sciences, biological science, education, engineering and technology, environmental sciences, humanities, management sciences, physical science, medical sciences, and social sciences. Each faculty is divided into different departments, which offer both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. The Entrepreneurship and Employability Centre was set up by the university to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the global economy. The centre regularly hosts a number of workshop and training sessions, career planning services and entrepreneurial courses. Research is carried out in a range of areas including food security, climate change, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.

You will play a key role and have skillset in one or more areas of electrical engineering, including power electronics, inverter control, rotating machines, system integration and electrical reticulation/protection. This role will also see you work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to advance renewable energy technology through cutting-edge simulation, experimental validation, and system integration. We are seeking candidates with strong technical capabilities in their field, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for innovation in clean energy technologies. This is a rare opportunity to conduct high-impact research that directly contributes to Australia's energy future. Robotics is reshaping the future of engineering — and mechanical engineering is at the heart of this transformation. In particular, the rapid growth of soft and intelligent robotics research is opening exciting new opportunities for innovation, impact, and real-world solutions. The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong offers B.Eng., M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. programmes within one of the region’s most highly ranked engineering schools. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
