Al-Farabi University College is located in the Dora area south of Baghdad and offers higher education across the fields of engineering, health sciences, media, and law. 
Al-Farabi University College was established in 2013, offering seven academic departments: civil engineering, architecture, petroleum engineering, computer engineering, biology, law, and media. In 2017, the university expanded, adding three more departments: oil and gas refinery engineering, accounting and banking sciences, and nursing. Since then, the university’s academic offering has developed further, opening the departments of: dentistry, medical laboratory techniques, optics techniques, and design. 
The university college’s campus is spread across 20 acres in the Dora area in the South of Baghdad. The university has a large library of over 20,000 titles.
The university college is a member of the International Federation of Universities, and aims to use modern teaching and learning methods.

Your place of work:

The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna comprises the Dean's Office, a Student Service Center, four institutes, and the Outpatient Unit for Research, Teaching and Practice. 

Your future position is based with the new Professorship of clinical-psychological intervention research (Prof. Dr. Johanna Böttcher), which will be established in October 2026 at the Institute for Clinical and Health Psychology. The research group investigates innovative digital interventions for mental disorders and psychological distress. The research focuses on acceptance, effectiveness, and mechanisms of action in various digital settings.  
Other key research areas of the professorship include:

	Side Effects of Psychological Treatment


The working group actively promotes open and reproducible science (e.g., through pre-registration and the sharing of materials and data) and values diverse perspectives.

Your future tasks:

You will be responsible for and oversee the development of a digital intervention platform that enables the conduct and evaluation of clinical studies with diverse populations. The platform uses the open-source DIRECT platform as its own instance (https://www.ewi-psy.fu-berlin.de/psychologie/einrichtungen/cmhds/direct/index.html)and is intended to be available to all psychology departments.

Your responsibilities include:


	You communicate with the developers of the DIRECT platform as well as with the DIRECT community (researchers and programmers).
	You analyze, manage, and consolidate the platform requirements of the various departments.
	You plan necessary adjustments and enhancements to the platform, commission them, and oversee the development process.
	You are responsible for hosting, maintenance, and support for the live platform.
	You analyze the regulatory framework (e.g., data protection, medical device law) and incorporate it into the planning, consultation, and implementation of research projects on the DIRECT platform.
	You plan data exports and analyses of usage data.
	You participate in research projects and publications.
	You assist with project proposals and the acquisition of third-party funding.
	You give presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
	You participate in and independently conduct courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
	You participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance.
	You supervise students. 


This is part of your personality:


	Completed doctoral/PhD degree in psychology, medicine, behavioral sciences, public health, human-computer interaction, or related fields.
	Experience in the development and evaluation of (clinical-psychological) digital interventions.
	Ability to translate psychological or psychotherapeutic concepts into digital formats
	Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (e.g., developers, designers, therapists, researchers)
	Analytical and communication skills to bridge gaps between disciplines
	Knowledge of quantitative data analysis (e.g., using R, Python)
	Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
	Leadership and management skills.
	Ability to work meticulously and independently.
	Strong sense of responsibility.
	Excellent written and spoken English skills.


Desirable qualifications are:


	Interest in the intersection of clinical psychology research, practice, and digital Technologies.
	Interest in technical development processes and digital infrastructures.
	Excellent written and spoken German.
	Proven research competence and initiative, as demonstrated by international publications in peer-reviewed journals.
	Teaching experience.
	Experience in supervising students (undergraduate and graduate students).

The School of Innovation is a new interdisciplinary school at HKU dedicated to preparing students to create meaningful impact in a rapidly changing, technology-driven world. With its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the early stages of development, the School is looking for candidates who are passionate about exploring effective and innovative pedagogies to implement interdisciplinary education for nurturing future generations of innovators with competences in technology.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with evidence demonstrating their capabilities in making high-quality contributions to higher education. They should be enthusiastic and flexible about going beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries to develop the technology competences of students with diverse backgrounds, interests and learning needs. The applicants should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience in collaborating with local and/or overseas secondary schools would be an advantage. Those with more than five years of teaching experience at the tertiary level (or in an equivalent professional setting) who demonstrate outstanding pedagogical skills and leadership in curriculum design may be considered for appointment as Senior Lecturer.

The appointee will be responsible for:


	Contributing to developing curriculum to equip students with core technological skills (such as computational problem-solving with programming, data science, mathematical modelling, and statistics) to empower them to innovate;
	Delivering interdisciplinary courses with effective and innovative pedagogies for students with diverse backgrounds, fostering their technological competencies for innovation;
	Supervising student projects;
	Providing academic advising to students;
	Contributing to admissions and outreach events, and liaising with external and internal parties to promote the School; and
	Contributing to committees and administrative duties.


A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided for Senior Lecturer as applicable.

The Ministry of Science and Technology of China has recently established the first State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences (SKLPlanets), based in the vibrant city of Macau. The Chinese National Space Administration has also just launched the Macau Space Exploration and Science Center to further research activities at SKLPlanets. The laboratory is envisioned as a major research hub in this field, fostering international multi-disciplinary collaborations, and making full use of the territory’s 5-centuries-old tradition in connecting the East and the West. The SKLPlanets has been installed at the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), the leading university in the territory and a fast climber in the world rankings of higher education institutions.

The laboratory has a team of international experts with 20 appointed faculty members but is currently looking to expand and strengthen its research to inform the next wave of the ambitious Chinese Space Program.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT (PSYCHOLOGY/ OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY) AT THE SINGAPORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (SIT)

SIT Health and Social Sciences (HSS) is seeking candidates for the position of a Research Assistant for the research study ‘Integrative Neuro-social cognitive Strategy Programme for Instilling REcovery (INSPIRE): a Community-Based Cognitive Remediation Trial”.

This study attempts to investigate the effects of cognitive remediation on neurocognition, social cognition and functional outcomes of persons with schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders in the community mental health setting. It will be conducted in five community-based psychiatric rehabilitation centres. The Research Assistant is expected to work closely with colleagues at the five psychiatric rehabilitation centres, conduct outcome measurements and carry out all administrative procedures in accordance with research governance policies. The Research Assistant will also need to be able to work independently.

Applicants should possess:

a. an earned Bachelor with Honours degree in Psychology or Occupational Therapy from a reputable university.

b. experience in research work in the field of mental health, particularly in cognitive remediation. 

c. skills in organising research dataset, with the ability to conduct basic statistical analyses.

d. prior experience in administering cognitive assessments.
