The person appointed will have a proven record of teaching, research and publication, appropriate to career stage. The appointee will be expected to build a strong research profile, that supports the University’s research strategy including affiliating to the Research Institutes, where appropriate and working with colleagues on national and international research. The appointee will be expected to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance and generate publications of international standard.  Salary: Assistant Professor / Lecturer: €64,753 – €102,539 p.a. In addition to the student-facing service, the Helpdesk is also responsible for and involved with many student focused initiatives We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Executive Assistant (SEA) to join the Student Helpdesk operation. Reporting to the Team Leader, the SEA will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day workflow of the Student Helpdesk Team, while working alongside the team to respond to student queries across all channels. The successful candidate will also contribute to the planning and delivery of initiatives and projects as they arise. Candidates should demonstrate experience in; prioritising, assigning, and directing workflows, designing and implementing new processes, planning and organising, meeting and exceeding objectives, co-ordinating the collection and preparation of large volumes of data, while developing team cohesion with a view to delivering a high-quality student focused service. As the Student Helpdesk Team operates within Student Services, candidates should understand and have empathy with the mission, ethos, and overall approach of Student Services.
