About the Role The Senior Health Technology Analyst leads high-quality evaluations of medical devices, including digital and AI-enabled technologies, to support LIHE’s mission of accelerating safe, effective and responsible MedTech innovation. The role reports to the Head of Clinical Translation and Governance and works within a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in regulatory affairs, clinical trials, quality, and clinical governance, to provide analytical leadership for LIHE’s MedTech programmes, including the MedTech Venture Builder (MVB), King’s MedTech Accelerator (KMA), and MedTech Venture Kickstarter (MVK). The role combines expertise in health technology assessment (HTA), evidence generation, real-world evaluation, and AI/Software as a Medical Device (AI/SaMD) appraisal. The post holder will work with innovators (from academics to SMEs), clinicians, and NHS partners to assess value propositions, evidence needs, risks, and adoption pathways. They will also support programme design, contribute to thematic areas (digital health, surgery, AIaMD), and help generate insight that strengthens LIHE’s strategic positioning as a national MedTech hub. This is a senior technical and strategic role requiring autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations for innovators, LIHE leadership, and external partners. This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 30/06/2027. About You To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria Undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering, health sciences, medical physics, applied data science, health economics, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) in a relevant discipline. Significant experience in health technology assessment or evaluation of medical devices (including digital/AI technologies). Proven ability to analyse complex clinical and technical evidence, including real-world data and literature. Understanding of regulatory and standards frameworks for medical devices, including SaMD/AIaMD. Experience working with clinicians or within healthcare pathways to inform evidence generation. Excellent communication skills, including writing clear evidence reports for technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent projects. Desirable criteria Evidence of experimental protocol design for real-world evaluation of healthcare technologies. Experience with AI/ML model evaluation, bias assessment or dataset quality appraisal. Familiarity with NHS innovation pathways and UK healthcare system dynamics. Experience in programme delivery, innovation support, or working with early-stage MedTech companies. Skills in advanced literature searching, meta-analysis, or statistical appraisal. DVC fellows receive intensive, supportive mentorship as they develop skills in litigation, teaching, and legal scholarship; the program is a strong pathway to a permanent position in law teaching (clinical or doctrinal), as well as a deep dive into public interest practice.DVC fellows develop skills as clinical teachers, supervising law students as they represent survivors of domestic abuse in civil protection order cases in D.C. Superior Court. As supervisors, fellows teach students to develop a range of skills-from building a strong and empathic attorney-client relationship; to acquiring litigation practice skills; to exploring legal ethics; to becoming creative problem-solvers, trauma-informed lawyers, and excellent storytellers. They help students critically examine the psychological dynamics of intimate partner violence, the harms inflicted by our society's systemic and institutional responses to this social problem, and alternative solutions beyond the legal system. DVC fellows also learn to be excellent classroom teachers, designing seminar classes on a range of topics, including child custody, professional ethics, and the individual and social dynamics of intimate partner violence. Faculty provide close support as fellows focus on how to navigate student learning challenges, develop their own teaching "voice," and facilitate interesting, challenging, and thought-provoking conversations and classroom exercises. Additionally, DVC fellows receive extensive training and mentorship as they continue to improve their own lawyering and litigation skills. Fellows provide direct representation to a small number of clients experiencing family abuse, primarily outside of the academic semester. Fellows are offered extensive opportunities to engage in legal scholarship. DVC faculty and other Georgetown Law faculty provide a wide range of support to fellows interested in researching, writing, and publication. First-year DVC fellows join the full community of Georgetown's clinical teaching fellows in a course on clinical pedagogy collaboratively taught the Georgetown clinical faculty. They are also part of the Women's Law and Public Policy Fellowship Program, where they have opportunities to collaborate with lawyer-fellows working on a wide variety of women's rights legal issues at placements throughout Washington, D.C., and learn from leaders in the national and local feminist legal communities.The full-time fellowship runs from early July 2026 through June 2028. About Us The Drug Control Centre (DCC) which sits within King’s Forensics® an academic grouping within the Department of Analytical, Environmental & Forensic Sciences (AEFS), the Faculty of Life Science & Medicine is seeking an IT officer to support the Senior IT Officer to provide IT support for the sports testing laboratories accredited to UKAS Quality Standard (ISO/IEC 17025). The Drug Control Centre (DCC) is the only World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratory in the UK and played a key role in the Antidoping bio-analytical testing programmes for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Glasgow 2022 Commonwealth Games, Cricket World Cup 2019, UEFA Euros 2020 Football Competition and recently the Rugby Six Nations tournament. The DCC is accredited by the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) across a range of sports, as a testing laboratory, analysing both domestic and international athletes in accordance with WADA's Prohibited List of substances. The DCC continues to be at the forefront of advances in anti-doping science and protecting both the integrity of sport and the health of athletes. The DCC has a Home Office License to hold, supply and produce substances included in the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and is a closed unit that requires a high degree of security secure and confidentiality in its work streams. About The Role The Drug Control Centre is seeking to employ an experienced laboratory scientist to lead on the routine analysis of sports tests using Gas Chromatography-Combustion-Ion Ratio Mass Spectrometry (GC- C-IRMS). The post holder will co-ordinate the passage of samples following endogenous steroid profile analysis by the Drug Control Centre under the direction of the Principal Analyst (GC-Technologies). Proven expertise in the analysis of biological samples using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry is essential. Knowledge and understanding of work within an accredited environment are an expectation. The post holder will have good time management skills and be able to communicate effectively within an accredited analytical laboratory environment Responsibilities will include providing analytical leadership to support the London Athlete Profile Management Unit (APMU) required timelines, the interpretation of analytical mass spectrometric data for anabolic steroids and the technical operation of the GC-MS and GC-C-IRMS instruments (troubleshooting and planned maintenance). Quality assurance will be important to the post-holder who will ensure controlled spreadsheets, standard operating procedures etc are maintained in accordance with UKAS (ISO 17025) and preferably World Anti-Doping Agency (ISL 2021) requirements. Working competently and competently within a controlled laboratory environment the postholder will support the Principal Analyst to improve current methods and procedures and the implement review as necessary.
