World University Rankings by Subject 2024: Engineering

The engineering subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the individual fields.

It highlights the universities that are leading across the following disciplines: general engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, civil engineering, and chemical engineering.

The best institutions for engineering this year are Harvard University and Stanford University. Imperial College London takes the 10th spot. The universities of Oxford and Cambridge are also in the top 10, with six US universities and one from Singapore.
