The Department of Data and Systems Engineering is one of the five engineering departments in the Faculty of Engineering, offering B.Eng., M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in all major fields of data and systems engineering. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in systems engineering, data science, industrial engineering, computer science or a related field, with a strong commitment to quality teaching. The appointee is expected to teach courses in, but not limited to, three subject clusters: (1) systems analytics including computing and programming, operations research, intelligent decision and analytics, industrial optimization; (2) cyber-physical systems including robotics and automation, IoT (Internet of Things), digital twins, cyber-physical systems, and smart industrial systems; and (3) engineering management including project management, quality management, operations management, supply chain and logistics management, and engineering economics. The appointees will be responsible for delivering quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Duties include: Delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to course design for undergraduate and postgraduate courses; Supervising student projects; Driving curriculum development and actively participating in knowledge exchange activities; and Contributing to departmental committees and administrative duties. Preference will be given to candidates with translational research experience in cancer immunology, antibody-based therapeutics, and/or antibody/protein engineering; as well as cell/organoid culture, cellular/molecular biology, antibody/protein characterization, flow cytometry, animal studies, and cancer-related research work.
