Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics. Experience in numerical techniques and analytical field-theoretical approaches is desirable. Applicants who are in the process of completing a Ph.D. degree will also be considered. The appointee will work with Prof. Zi Yang Meng to conduct research on computational and theoretical condensed matter physics. Areas of research include diagrammatic calculations, quantum Monte Carlo methods, density matrix renormalization group and tensor network states, and artificial intelligence and neural networks, with a particular focus on applying these numerical approaches to quantum many-body systems, such as correlated 2D materials, quantum Moire systems, frustrated magnets, topological order, quantum phase transitions beyond Landau-Ginzburg-Wilson paradigms, etc. The recent works of Prof. Meng and the group can be found at https://quantummc.xyz/publication. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The role will include working early morning, late evenings and weekends on a rota basis.  About you The successful candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory role in which they handled staff effectively to achieve results. Understanding the importance of Health and Safety in the leisure industry is essential and the candidate should have the ability to deliver a high-quality service with minimum supervision. The post-holder will also be adaptable & flexible and will have the ability to deal with customers and their queries and concerns with tact, diplomacy and kindness. Knowledge of integrated management systems and experience of computerised leisure management systems are essential. About the Role This Associate Lecturer, Clinical Nursing Simulation Educator (CNSE) is a Teaching Specialist (Clinical Practitioner) position, ideal for an experienced nursing practitioner who has emerging experience teaching at a tertiary level in a clinical simulation / laboratory environment. This position is predominantly concerned with teaching and teaching-related duties involving the creation, delivery and continuous quality improvement of university-level education. It includes (but is not limited to): direct teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience; curriculum design and review; delivery innovation; utilising advancements in education technologies; and making a contribution towards maintaining internal and external compliance and accreditation of courses. This position is also responsible for facilitating the provision of a supportive, encouraging and nurturing teaching and learning environment for students and tutors in the clinical skills laboratory. This involves working collaboratively with the Topic Coordinator, tutors and the clinical laboratory technicians to ensure clear, replicable and consistent demonstration and application of clinical skills required by the student for the provision of competent and safe person-centred nursing care.
