Regarded as one of the most prestigious universities in Germany, the University of Göttingen is located in the historic Saxon town of the same name, in the centre of Germany.

Established in 1737, the university – informally known as Georgia Augusta – is home to about 26,000 students, 11% of who are international.

A research-led university, Göttingen has associations with over 40 Nobel Prize winners, including physicists Max Born, Werner Heisenberg, Max Planck and Otto Stern. The Brothers Grimm both taught at Göttingen and its alumni includes the statesman Otto von Bismarck, philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, poet Heinrich Heine and sociologist Max Weber.

Napoleon once said of Göttingen that it belonged ‘to the whole of Europe.' It was founded by England's King George II in his capacity as Elector of Hanover, and the university’s library, founded in 1734, was the first comprehensive academic library of European standing.

In the first part of the twentieth century, Göttingen was regarded as the centre of the mathematical world – a position it lost in 1933 when more than 50 of its faculty were forced to leave the University under Nazi rule.

After World War II, Göttingen was the first university in Germany to resume teaching, going on to become one the largest higher education institutions in the country. 



The modern Göttingen offers a wide range of degree programmes, particularly in the humanities, with almost all academic disciplines represented across its 13 faculties. It prioritises creativity, in particular, with students and faculty encouraged to engage in creative thinking as well as acquiring methodological knowledge.

The university’s profile is further enhanced by its partnerships with several local research partners, including the Göttingen Academy of Sciences, the German Aerospace Centre and five Max Planck Institutes, which work with the university to provide an alliance of collaboration in research and teaching.

Göttingen is itself a hub of culture and creativity, hosting many events and festivals throughout the year including the international Handel Festival, which celebrates German baroque music.

Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs. Job Requirements Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related fields from a recognized University. Industry certifications like OSCP, CISSP, or CEH are a plus. Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in security analyst, preferably with exposure to cybersecurity applications. Proven experience as a Certified Security Analyst or in a related role, with a strong understanding of industry best practices, cybersecurity frameworks, IoT Security, OT Security, and Mobile Security. Strong understanding of cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic primitives, protocols, and PQC. Experience with adversarial machine learning techniques and defenses. Clear understanding of information security principles and the cyber technology landscape. Ability to develop and enforce security policies, conduct security awareness training, and stay updated on emerging cyber threats and hacker methodologies. Experience in developing and enhancing frameworks or standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling cybersecurity incidents in different industries. Soft Skills & Mindset: Passionate about cybersecurity, technically hands-on, willing to learn, and curious about the inner workings of Enterprise/OT/Telecommunications technologies and exploiting their vulnerabilities. Strong interest in supporting research and academic projects, with the ability to adopt and manage new security technologies. Willingness to pursue professional certifications in cybersecurity governance, such as CISSP, OSCP, CSSP (Industry certifications are an added advantage). Actively participate in cybersecurity-related projects or organizations, such as CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team), ISACA, or ISC2.

The Role The Partnership Manager will be a key role in the SCENE infrastructure. Located in Durham University's Research and Innovation Services Division, you will be a member of both the regional team supporting the SCENE programme and the University's Research Commercialisation Team The postholder will work on a 'matrix' basis, with line responsibility to management structures within the host institution but functionally engaged into the regional team, building on the experience of successful collaborative working development through the Northern Accelerator programme. Lead and support high quality publications to disseminate the applied research outcomes. ii. Plan, organize and carry out experiments and trials in the food pilot plant to achieve the objectives iii. Manage and complete the project by presenting the findings in conferences or meetings with industrial collaborator, submitting timely data & documents, and purchase chemicals or consumables. iv. Engage and communicate with collaborators for progress meetings and report generation to meet the grantor's requirements. The candidate is to liaise and communicate with any internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met and to perform any other adhoc duties assigned by Supervisor.  Job requirements Have relevant competence in the areas of protein chemistry, analytical chemistry for amino acid profiling, polyphenol profile analysis, SDS-PAGE, and protein hydrolysis. Have a degree in Food Science and Technology, or Analytical Chemistry. Possessing a Master's or PhD degree will be advantageous Experience and Knowledge of operating HPLC, MALDI-TOF and Q-TOF Mass spectrometry for protein sequencing, carbohydrate/Sugar analysis, and polyphenol identification. Previous experience as lab-in-charge or equipment-in-charge will be advantageous. Able to communicate with industrial collaborators to share key findings, seek supports, or conducting commercial trials. Role Overview As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The SIT Centre for Intelligent Robotics is a strategic capability centre under RoboPrecinct@Punggol Digital District (PDD), responsible for developing and maintaining the core applied robotics and embodied AI capabilities required for precinct-level deployment of robotic systems. The centre is seeking a Robotics Engineer. This role is application-driven and system-oriented, focusing on the implementation, adaptation, and evaluation of state-of-the-art robotics algorithms on real robotic platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with physical robots and simulation environments to translate recent advances in learning-based robotics into robust, deployable systems. Key Responsibilities Implement, adapt, and evaluate state-of-the-art learning-based methods for robotic perception, decision-making, navigation, and manipulation. Apply reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and other skill learning frameworks to practical robotic applications. Integrate learning-based robot skills with full robot software stacks in ROS / ROS 2 environments. Develop and maintain perception and state representation pipelines using RGB-D and 3D sensing. Conduct simulation-to-real (Sim2Real) workflows, including data collection, model training, deployment, and testing on physical robots. Support system-level experimentation, benchmarking, and iterative improvement of embodied AI applications. Provide mentorship to undergraduate students in projects. Carry out risk assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and implementation guides to support knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability. Contribute to publications and technical notes to disseminate research outcomes. The employee is to communicate with any internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Any other adhoc duties assigned by supervisor. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Working knowledge of reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or learning-based control concepts. Familiarity with robotics simulation tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Lab, or MuJoCo. Practical experience with ROS or ROS 2 for real-robot software integration. Proficiency in Python and C++, with experience developing and maintaining production-level code. At least 2 years of experience in robotics research or industry projects. Preferred Skillsets (Advantageous) Experience working with mobile manipulators, humanoid robots, or quadruped robots. Exposure to motion planning, control frameworks, or whole-body control systems. Experience with real-world robot experimentation and deployment. Experience with embodied AI and robot manipulation benchmarking platforms such as LIBERO, ManiSkill, or RLBench is highly desirable. Knowledge of GPU architectures, GPU cloud computing services, and strong familiarity with Linux operating systems.
