Political scientist and polling expert Sir John Curtice warned universities against wading into the Brexit debate in the first THE annual lecture

Sir John Curtice, professor of politics at the University of Strathclyde, delivered the inaugural Times Higher Education annual lecture at THE Live on 29 November.

His address, "Entering the electoral fray: universities and Brexit", examined the discrepancies in voter behaviour and the positioning of universities in the Scottish and EU referendums.
