About the Role

Join a growing team and lead the identification, development, establishment and strategic review of international education pathways and articulation arrangements that support student access and progression to Flinders University programs, including transnational education and branch campus offerings.

The position works collaboratively with international schools, pathway providers, education institutions, Colleges, Global Engagement, Admissions and Compliance, Marketing and Student Recruitment, and other relevant stakeholders to assess opportunities and develop pathway models aligned with University priorities, academic requirements, partnership commitments and recruitment objectives and provides specialist advice on pathway design, articulation, credit and progression models.

You will be accountable for pathway opportunity development, design & coordination, performance & portfolio review and partnership development & strategic engagement, which will include the establishment, approval readiness and handover of these pathways.

This position makes a significant contribution to the University’s strategic plan to "Changing 10 million lives, Every One Matters", by 2035 through providing specialist advice on pathway design, articulation, credit and progression models; evaluation of pathway and arrangement performance; and recommendations for opportunities for enhancement, growth or risk treatment. It establishes operational requirements for approved arrangements and coordinates their structured handover to the Coordinator, Transnational Education and Partner Services

Working collaboratively with colleagues, academic staff and education partners, the role contributes to a vibrant culture and embraces an agile approach to delivering responsive, high-quality services in a dynamic environment.

Who we are looking for

The Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, is looking for a colleague with a strong research profile in political behaviour and advanced quantitative methods. We are seeking a researcher able to link electoral and survey data with spatial, environmental or other contextual data and to apply modern causal and longitudinal approaches to the study of political participation, electoral decision-making and political attitudes.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Associate Professor will provide leadership and foster excellence in learning & teaching, research, and industry engagement efforts of the School, within the University, and with the community, professional, commercial, and industrial sectors. More specifically, the Associate Professor is responsible for providing original, innovative, and distinguished contributions to the School’s programs, particularly in the disciplines of computer science, information technology, software engineering and artificial intelligence, and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research, and/or professional capabilities relevant to those disciplines at a national and international level. The Associate Professor can be expected to provide strategic leadership in learning and teaching or research and scholarship, teach, and make a significant contribution to teaching and learning in the disciplines to improve student learning outcomes. The Associate Professor will significantly contribute to the School's planning and strategic direction, by taking on academic leadership roles involving participation in various committees within the School, Program Portfolio, and University and external to the University, as appropriate. 	Assessment design, moderation and academic standards: Design, conduct and moderate assessment in line with University policy and quality assurance requirements. 	Vietnam and Asia-Pacific contribution: Capability in strengthening Vietnam’s and the Asia-Pacific region’s innovation ecosystem through capacity-building, technology adoption, partnership development, and/or international collaboration that strengthens RMIT’s research standing and local relevance.
	Teaching excellence and curriculum leadership: Proven teaching proficiency across relevant areas (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science), with evidence of high-quality teaching practice, effective assessment design and moderation, and sustained improvement in student outcomes and student experience across diverse learning contexts.
	Program development, accreditation and quality assurance: Demonstrated experience in curriculum and program development and continuous improvement, including student-centred and inclusive learning design. Experience contributing to (or leading) accreditation and quality assurance processes (e.g., ACS, Engineers Australia), and a strong commitment to academic integrity.
	HDR supervision and researcher development: Significant experience supervising higher degree by research candidates, with evidence of effective supervision practices (e.g., timely milestones, completions, and/or high-quality outputs with candidates), and a commitment to researcher development and mentoring.
	Leadership and collegial contribution: Strong leadership capability, including the ability to motivate and develop staff, contribute effectively to the management of teams, lead through influence across disciplines, and support a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.
	Stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners, manage complex collaborations, and achieve agreed outcomes.
	Governance, risk and resource stewardship: Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, University financial, governance and quality management systems, including prudent resource stewardship, compliance, and accountability
	Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, RMIT Values and RMIT Leadership Model.
