The role Part Time - 30 hours per week, Continuing Level B - $91,072 to $107,972 pa (plus 17% superannuation) Port Macquarie You will actively engage in teaching, curriculum development, work-integrated learning and student engagement related to the occupational therapy course in the School of Allied Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences. You will also be expected to use blended models of subject delivery in teaching students, liaise effectively with the stakeholders of the course, and participate in administration and ongoing curriculum development. The successful candidate must have sound experience in occupational therapy practice, a commitment to regional, rural and remote health and practice, and capacity and willingness to contribute to supporting work integrated learning for occupational therapy students. About you A doctoral or masters qualification relevant to occupational therapy with current full registration as an occupational therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). Demonstrated experience and knowledge of contemporary occupational therapy and a sound understanding of the Australian health system. Demonstrated ability to contribute to course and subject design, and to deliver high quality student-centred learning and teaching Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders which contribute to establishing high quality learning experiences. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements A Master’s degree in Radiography or related field. Possessing a PhD will be an added advantage. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in the acute / community / other clinical rehabilitation setting. Possess clinical experience and competence in Radiography. Having expertise in general radiography or other area of specialization (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Angiography and Fluoroscopy) is preferred. Knowledge and experience in working with simulated healthcare institution and community environment and educational manikins will be advantageous. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.  Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.

The Role and the Department Research and Innovation Services (RIS) provides guidance, expert advice and hands-on support for all aspects of research and research-related work, including securing funding, working with partners, undertaking knowledge exchange, demonstrating impact, commercialising outputs, ensuring good research practice and supporting professional development. We are seeking a Post Award Finance and Project Officer to join our Post Award Team within Research Operations to support a colleagues maternity leave. You will deliver comprehensive post-award financial and administrative support, ensuring that project leaders and researchers receive timely, expert advice. Your responsibilities will span the full grant lifecycle, from award acceptance and project setup, through financial monitoring and budget management, to final claims, reconciliation, project closure, and preparation for both internal and external audits. Stakeholder engagement is at the core of this role. You will act as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners, facilitating clear communication and effective coordination across departments and funding bodies. You will also regularly review project budgets, income, and expenditure to maintain accuracy and to identify and address any significant variances such as under- or overspending, ineligible costs, or issues with overhead recovery. The postholder has the following key responsibilities: Manage the post-award financial administration of non-research grants, ensuring accurate and timely closure. Prepare and submit financial claims, invoices, and statements in line with funder and institutional deadlines. Monitor budgets, income, and expenditure, identifying and resolving variances, and providing financial forecasts to project leads. Reconcile project accounts, process final expenditure and exchange rate journals, and ensure accurate allocation of income. Ensure compliance with funder terms and conditions, advising stakeholders on eligible expenditure and removing ineligible costs. Coordinate staff approvals with HR, ensuring alignment with project budgets and funder requirements. Calculate and transfer fEC overheads/indirect costs in accordance with approved budgets. Liaise with internal teams (Finance, HR, Departments) and external stakeholders (funders, HEIs, partners) to resolve queries. Maintain accurate, auditable records and ensure financial systems reflect final approved expenditure. Working pattern: Monday - Friday. Hybrid 2 days in the office.
