Established in 1888 as a medical school at Thailand’s first hospital, Mahidol University is now one of the country’s top academic and research institutions. In 1943 it became the University of Medical Sciences, and in 1969 it was renamed as Mahidol University. For over 130 years, Mahidol University has been guided by the work and life of our namesake, H.R.H. Prince Mahidol of Songkla, shown through his educational philosophy “True success is not in the learning but in its application to benefit of mankind”. Healthcare Services

As Thailand’s top healthcare provider, operating 5 hospitals, treating over 6 million outpatients each year, and educating approximately 20% of newly qualified doctors, we understand our responsibility in supporting healthcare development in Thailand and across the region. As a part of this, our medical and dental faculties regularly undertake clinical outreach projects, providing check-ups and treatments in rural areas. Ratchasuda College, Mahidol University, has a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN), both in supporting persons with disabilities in furthering their education, and in training educators to work with SEN children in Thailand’s primary and secondary education system.

Global Problems, Local Solutions

Our institutes take leading roles in addressing some of the key social issues in the Asia-Pacific Region, some of their projects include:

Knowledge Sharing

Mahidol Channel, our terrestrial and online TV channel, allows us to share knowledge with the community through edutainment and children’s programming. Ref.: 534083 Work type: Full-time Department: School of Biomedical Sciences (22600) Categories: Professoriate Staff Applications are invited for appointments as Tenure-Track Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (several posts) in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 534083), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. Applicants should possess: (i) a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a related discipline; (ii) evidence of international recognition and a strong record of scholarship with a demonstrated ability to work across disciplines towards new research initiatives; (iii) a strong commitment to engaging students in inquiry-based learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and (iv) a strong track record of high-quality research as indicated by publication record and external grants. The appointees are expected to participate in teaching biomedical sciences subjects relevant to human health and diseases spanning basic biochemical, cellular and molecular biology to whole body organization and homeostasis, across a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes including medical, biomedical sciences, pharmacy, nursing and/or Chinese medicine. They will also be expected to establish an innovative and well-funded research group that is open to interdisciplinary collaboration. Research should be at the forefront of biology and medicine, spanning basic molecular and cellular processes, developmental and stem cell biology, cancer, body defence systems, neuroscience, bioinformatics and bioengineering. In the course of career development, the appointees are expected to make substantial contributions to the School’s strategic developments in academic and research collaborations locally, regionally and internationally. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual who will bring professional and academic experience to be part of a team dedicated to excellence in teaching. You will have the skills and experience to teach computer science courses for students in the Bachelor of Design in Interface Design. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented post-doctoral researcher to join our research programme in metasurfaces. The position is funded by the three-year Leverhulme Trust Research Project Grant “Unwrapping topologically protected light on topologically structured surfaces”.  Building on the University of Southampton’s long-established and internationally recognised strength in metasurface research, this project will focus on developing a new class of metasurfaces for manipulating topologically structured light, with the ultimate aim of enabling intelligent optical sensing. A strong background in the design, nanofabrication, and characterisation of silicon metasurfaces is highly desirable, together with an aptitude for developing new experimental techniques related to this exciting research programme. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate: A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in physics or engineering, specialising in photonic devices. Substantial and authoritative practical knowledge and experience in metasurfaces, supported by detailed understanding. Excellent communication and organisational skills, and a proven ability to work effectively within teams The appointment is for a two-year period, with the possibility of extension, and is ideally expected to start in April 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. Simulation and Interactive Learning (SaIL) at King’s College London is an entity within Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative care that operates and maintain dedicated and technology enhanced facilities spread across different locations at King’s. Clinical education and learning are pivotal in developing and maintaining competencies in health care, by design, SaIL spaces incorporates all the elements required for technology enhanced, innovative education with a strong but not exclusive emphasis on clinical learning and simulation, serving all health faculties for healthcare simulation at King’s. About the role Reporting to Simulation Technical Specialist, working as part of the technical team, the role will provide support to academics in preparing and maintaining classrooms and clinical environment for the delivery of simulation-based education. You will also be responsible in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining specialised equipment and technology available at the centres The role requires to provide cross-site technical cover and shift work variably between 8am-6pm or 9am-7pm, moving and handling of heavy equipment, and occasionally provide weekend support. This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
