Academics are kicking off the 2010 Fifa World Cup with a dedicated website complete with blogs, video interviews and a downloadable wall chart. The initiative, by Nottingham Trent University, will feature academics - depicted in football sticker-style photos - writing about football-related issues such as the apparent dearth of gay footballers and the psychological impact of sporting success and failure.
