The 2018 Times Higher Education World University Rankings’ table for life sciences subjects employs the same rigorous and balanced range of 13 performance indicators used in the overall World University Rankings, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the individual fields.
It highlights the universities that are leading across agriculture and forestry, biological sciences, sport science and veterinary science subjects.

This year’s table features the same top five as last year, led by Harvard University. Johns Hopkins University has risen five places to sixth, while the University of California, San Diego has climbed 12 places to 12th.
