This scheme supports visits amongst institutions within the UK, between institutions in the UK and overseas and amongst institutions in developing overseas countries. The objective of visits should be to foster a research project, or develop a field of research where participants can benefit from collaboration and cross-fertilisation of ideas with colleagues from other institutions.

All fields eligible except social policy and welfare; medicine; and school education. In the first instance applicants should send a preliminary letter, of not more than 1,000 words. These can be sent at any time. Full details online.
