Khon Kaen University is regarded as the one of Thailand’s top research universities.

Founded in 1964 near the city of Khon Kaen, it was initially set up as an institute of technology  to further the study of engineering and agriculture and was later named the University of North East Thailand.

It renamed Khon Kaen University – known as KKU – and was appointed one of Thailand’s nine national research universities in 2010, in addition to its work as a major educational centre in the Mekong region.

With more than 40,000 students, including 10,000 postgraduates and 500 overseas students, across around 350 study programmes on its main campus, KKU also has around 2,200 academic staff and 8,500 support staff.

One of KKU’s main strategic goals is to be recognized both internationally and regionally as a leading university in research.

Among the areas in which outstanding research takes place at KKU is in medicine, public Health and tropical medicine, with its Tropical Disease Research Laboratory gaining widespread acclaim.

It also excels in its historic research strength of agriculture, with studies focusing on tropical farming systems in both animal and plant science. Work on the bio-diversity in the Mekong River basin, as well as business and tourism in this area, has also been recognised.

In line with the goal to develop the university’s research, it has now has a total of 25 research centres of excellence and research specialist groups, based around six research themes: health problems, food products and food for health, water management, improving literacy and numeracy, biofuels and advanced materials.

In addition, the university has partnerships with more than 160 national and international research organizations from 25 countries.

There are also exchange programs for KKU students, personnel, provided with full equipment, knowledge, labs and other kinds of bodies of knowledge.

Job Description SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS  ACADEMY OF MUSIC Associate Professor of Practice in Music Performance and Music Pedagogy (Violin, Piano) (Multiple Positions) (25260435) The Academy of Music (https://mus.hkbu.edu.hk/web/) has rapidly emerged as one of the leading institutions in Hong Kong, providing a rigorous and comprehensive music curriculum. Following HKBU’s rich liberal arts tradition, the Academy fosters creativity through performance, composition, technology, research, and pedagogy. With the new Jockey Club Campus of Creativity, the Academy further expands its capacity to inspire and nurture the next generation of creative artists. The Academy is seeking a distinguished music educator and accomplished performer for the position of Associate Professor of Practice in Music Performance and Pedagogy.  Responsibilities: Teach music performance courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; Maintain an active profile in professional performance and/or scholarly activities; and Collaborate across disciplines within the Academy and with colleagues across the University to further develop the Academy’s strengths in interdisciplinary research, teaching and knowledge transfer. Requirements: A doctoral degree in music or equivalent professional experience; and Collegiate-level teaching experience. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are excited to invite applications for a Research Fellow (Communications and Education Officer) position funded by the EU, as part of a new European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare. The position will be based in the School of Biosciences at the University of Surrey, but it will involve working closely with colleagues in the School of Veterinary Medicine. You will be part of a team and will support communication and educational activities in a vibrant, inter-disciplinary research environment with a strong international reputation. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in research related to animal health and welfare, and will have experience of managing communication and education activities within a large international project. This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong track record of producing content for, and managing, social media channels in addition to experience of organising educational, dissemination and exploitation activities. The role will specifically include organising summer schools, short-term missions, workshops, scientific conferences, training courses and supporting PhD students. Therefore, experience of organising events and communicating complex scientific information in clear, concise, and accurate language that can be understood by scientific audiences and the general public would be an advantage. We would especially be keen to hear from candidates who have previously worked as part of an international scientific project team. Description The Embodied AI and Robotics (AIR) Laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Senior Research Engineer to advance applied research in artificial intelligence and robotics. The successful applicant will contribute to cutting-edge research and development in Embodied AI, with a focus on integrating AI-driven perception, reasoning, and action to enable intelligent robotic behavior across diverse real-world environments. The position involves working on embodied intelligence systems that combine vision-language-action (VLA) modeling, robotic perception and interaction, and autonomous task execution. The Senior Research Engineer will play a key role in bridging algorithmic innovation and robot deployment, leading experimental design, system integration, and evaluation on real robotic platforms. The Embodied AI and Robotics Lab (AIR) develops intelligent robotic systems capable of understanding, learning, and acting in complex, dynamic settings.
