Job Description SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS ACADEMY OF VISUAL ARTS Part-time Lecturer (25260664) The Academy of Visual Arts is the first-of-its-kind local institution in delivering Arts and Technology education, which is looking for Part-time Lecturer(s) to teach the course(s) at undergraduate level in the following areas: Unreal VR technology Digital media and fabrication Creative computation Any other related disciplines The ideal candidate should hold a master’s degree or above in related disciplines, with 3 years of experience in creative industries with aspects of content development, budgeting, licensing, administration, marketing, or audience engagement, preferably with teaching experience at the university level. A good command of English and Chinese, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility are required. Duties may also include supervision of students, marking of examination papers, and any other work as assigned by the Programme Director and Director of the Academy. The initial appointment will be offered on a part-time basis commencing Sep 2026. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and course availability. FHS established the Department of Biomedical Sciences (DBS) that aims at fortifying the teaching and research in the area of biomedical sciences, with focuses on precision oncology, stem cell and development, aging, neural and metabolism disorders and infectious diseases, biomedical imaging, data science, drug development, neuropsychiatry. structural biology, translational medicine, and public health. In 2020, UM also established the Ministry of Education Frontiers Science Center for Precision Oncology (MoE-FSCPO) with an aim to foster interdisciplinary research in precision oncology that develops new treatment options for improving survival and quality of life of cancer patients. DBS of FHS and MoE-FSCPO now invite applications for the position of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in Biomedical Sciences. The candidate is expected to have: strong exposures in cancer research and preferably with background in data science; strong exposures in drug development and precision oncology; strong exposures in stem cell biology and preferably with background in cancer research; and/or strong exposures in immunotherapies and preferably with background in cancer research. Qualifications A doctoral degree in related biological, health and/or medical studies. Candidate for Assistant Professor should demonstrate a high potential of excellence in research and teaching and is preferably to have three years or above of postdoctoral training. The appointment at the rank of Full Professor and Associate Professor depends on qualification and achievements of the candidate, such as the established international excellence in research and scholarship as a proven record of publications in high calibre international journals. The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in 2026/2027. Remuneration A taxable annual remuneration starting MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. About the UEL Legal Advice Centre The UEL Legal Advice Centre (LAC) provides vital access to justice for local communities while giving students hands-on experience of legal practice. About the Role We are seeking a committed and community-focused Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Law (Supervising Solicitor) to lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of UEL’s Legal Advice Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner passionate about widening access to justice and developing the next generation of solicitors. You will supervise students in client-facing activity, oversee practice-based learning aligned with the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE), manage the operational running of the Centre, and build strong working relationships with community partners, local schools and legal employers. The role also includes teaching on skills-based and clinical modules and contributing to broader Law Department activities. About You You are an experienced legal practitioner with a strong commitment to social justice, experiential legal education and working with diverse communities.
