Worm watch

(Photograph) - School children across Wales are taking part in a hands-on Cardiff University research project. Each child is given a worm-watch kit to help them identify the 15 or so different varieties of local earth worm. Youngsters will investigate how worms flourish in local soil compared with a standard soil provided by the university. Results should help researchers understand variations in Welsh soil quality.
