Roger Wilson, pro vice-chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University, is to take over as head of Chelsea College of Arts and Design as it prepares for its move to a Thameside site next to the Tate Britain next autumn.
Professor Wilson, who chairs the Council for Higher Education in Art and Design, has a chair in fine art at MMU and has held many exhibitions of his painting, photography and experimental film.
