The Victoria and Albert Museum has signed up to a major new research collaboration with academics. Art historians at the University of York will work in the V&A's research department and with its curators while V&A staff will present their research in York and collaborate on new university projects. The partnership, which will begin at the start of the next academic year, will also see the creation of an annual lecture and a symposium, each hosted alternately by the university and the museum. The university already has a similar collaboration with Tate Britain.
