A new Centre for Peace History has opened at the University of Sheffield. It will bring together interdisciplinary expertise on peace and conflict resolution. Holger Nehring, one of its directors and a specialist in protests against nuclear weapons in Europe, said researchers would study how peace activists, politicians and ordinary people in the past had envisioned and lived in peace.
