Rare peregrine falcons are being encouraged to nest in Sheffield for the first time after a university estates team constructed a special platform on a local church. The platform was constructed with assistance from the University of Sheffield's Bird Study Group and advice from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Those involved said they were "quietly optimistic" it will be used.
