Students and visitors at the University of Northampton were invited to brush up their rhyme and form at a free poetry-writing masterclass with New Zealand poet Kevin Ireland this week. The former journalist has lived in England since 1959 and worked for The Times for 20 years. His poetry deals with identity, including the competing notions of selfhood associated with his country of origin and residence. His latest book, Table Talk, was published this year.
