A £500,000 grant from the Arts and Humanities Research Council for a project to gather, digitise and analyse a large collection of music published around 1840 until 1930 has been awarded to the School of Music at the University of Leeds. The grant for the project on 19th and early 20th-century annotated editions of string music is one of the school's biggest.
