The National Union of Students has awarded the University of Leeds the title of the best students' union in Britain. At a recent ceremony in London, Leeds won the NUS Higher Education Union of the Year award, beating more than 60 rivals. Michael Arthur, Leeds' vice-chancellor, said the honour was a "richly deserved" achievement for the union.
