A multimillion-pound donation is to be used to build a centre for music performance at the University of Kent. The Colyer-Fergusson building at the Canterbury campus is being funded with £4.5 million from the Colyer-Fergusson Charitable Trust. Although music is not among the academic courses available at Kent, hundreds of students and staff are involved with musical activities locally in a voluntary capacity.
