The University of East London has opened a centre focusing on black-owned enterprises in London. The Black Business Observatory, which is funded by the London Development Agency, will co-ordinate research and market intelligence to help secure the growth and sustainability of black businesses. Sonny Nwankwo, who leads the project with Nnamdi Madichie, said the observatory aims to help produce "long-term and robust research into black business support needs, identifying gaps in support provision and highlighting areas of implementation."
