University of East Anglia - A first (and fifth) for pharmacy

The official opening of the UK's first new school of pharmacy in 30 years took place last week. Although the University of East Anglia's Pharmacy School opened five years ago, it is only now ready to be publicly inaugurated, said Duncan Craig, the head of pharmacy. "A number of pharmacy schools at other universities have tried to open over recent years, but were not successful, leading to their subsequent closure. The success of UEA is now demonstrable, which is why we are officially opening the school," Professor Craig said.
