The birthplace of Dennis the Menace and Minnie the Minx will host the second international comic conference next month. Dundee's history is inextricably linked with the DC Thomson empire that includes The Beano, The Dandy and Bunty, but the conference organised by Christopher Murray of the University of Dundee's English department will also cover topics such as crime comics and Japanese-style manga comics. Dr Murray said: "Comics are fun for all ages, a unique art form."
