A new research facility is being opened on a Chinese university campus by the University of Central Lancashire. The centre, at Shenzhen Virtual University Park, will run in partnership with the City University of Hong Kong, with which Uclan has had links for 20 years. It will focus on joint projects in biomedical sciences and other science and technology disciplines, supporting 50 researchers from September. Angela Murphy, deputy vice-chancellor of Uclan, said: "We believe our new joint research facility holds great promise for extending our research capabilities and recruiting the brightest Chinese students."
