A university is to use a ballet company's tour of China to raise its profile in a country that sends 50,000 students a year to the UK. The University of Birmingham is sending representatives on the Birmingham Royal Ballet tour next month, when the company visits Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai. The initiative builds on existing close links between the ballet company and Birmingham, which has offered a masters degree in dance for more than a decade.
