A new institute will explore the origin and evolution of the Universe. The Institute for Origins at University College London is to recruit four research fellows and two PhD students, funded with £700,000 from UCL's central fund. The institute, which will co-ordinate research across UCL and run teaching workshops and symposia, will officially open in the spring.
