Scientists from the universities of Dundee and Aberdeen have created software to help disabled children take control of conversations. The programme, called "How was school today?", allows children with disabilities such as cerebral palsy to tell their parents what they have done. It uses a recording device to gather information on the child's experiences and turn them into a story that can be shared when the pupil returns home. The software was the result of a year-long research project between the institutions and Capability Scotland, a leading disability organisation.
