UHI Millennium Institute - Degree award milestone reached

Another milestone in the journey towards a university for Scotland's Highlands and islands has been passed, with UHI Millennium Institute empowered to award its own taught degrees from this month. The Open University has validated UHI degrees until now, but earlier this year the Quality Assurance Agency approved the change. Principal Bob Cormack said this development would give UHI more flexibility in developing new courses, and allow it to respond more quickly to student interests and employer demands.
