The European Social Fund has invested more than £400,000 in The Robert Gordon University to help it to provide professional training for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Aberdeenshire. The "skills for growth" project, run by the university's Aberdeen Business School, has already helped more than 175 business people in the past year, and is looking for more participants. The group provides short courses to improve SME business skills through workshops and online tools such as podcasts.
