A university website that helps to identify wildlife has led to the discovery of a moth that has never been seen before in the UK. When a member of the public posted a photograph of an unusual moth on The Open University's iSpot website, Martin Harvey, a researcher in the institution's Biodiversity Observatory, identified it as a Euonymus leaf notcher moth. "This find demonstrates the power of the internet, and iSpot in particular, in helping everyone to learn about wildlife," he said.
