Teacher trainers in trouble after re-inspection

Two higher education teacher trainers are under threat after parts of their provision were deemed "poor" following re-inspection by the Office of Standards in Education. University of Derby and Bath College of Higher Education both awarded Qualified Teacher Status to students who lacked basic competences in the teaching of reading.
